SNOW! and other stories…

It snowed last night and we woke up to a beautiful blanket of snow over Livingston Mountain.  It was great.  No where else in Camas had snow but we did!  We had to get to an early coffee meeting so I didn’t take a picture.

We will have a longer time up here thanks to some things needed for our loan.  I’m thankful we have good and creative people working with us.  We are inconvenienced but we are blessed to have shelter.  Hopefully we will get more snow and I will take lots of pictures.

Yesterday we went Christmas shopping.  Yikes.  I didn’t know so many people had Monday off!  Loaded up on cold  medicine, I did my best and I hope people like their presents.  Yes, I have a bit of a winter cold.  Awesome.  Nothing feels more like Christmas than decking the halls with balls of tissue.

We stood in line at the post office for 30 min.  Not bad.  But we witnessed some foul behavior.  A lady asked another lady if it was okay if she stepped out of line to check something and line lady said yes.  When out of line lady came back line lady made her go to the end of the line!  FOUL!  SCROOGE!  GRINCH! If you weren’t a decent human being at least you could remember it is Christmas.  I stood behind her quietly singing the theme song from the Grinch.

Singing in protest is a passive aggressive coping mechanism I developed at a young age, finding that it royally annoyed my mother if I sang sweetly about how mean my mommy was.

In other news, my mom and I have a great relationship.

Matt also took this time to inform me that our Christmas letter had typos.  I told him I didn’t care.  So if you see them.  I don’t care.  Currently that might be the cold medicine but I think we will live.

So the Christmas count is 4 days.  The clock is ticking.  Still have a few presents left to purchase.
