20 Days

Well it has been almost 20 days since my last post.  It has been a little nutty to say the least.  Every emotional rollercoaster under the sun and then keys to our first house on Jan 16.  I wish it had been more of a celebration.  It certainly lacked the charm of an HGTV show.  I love to capture moments in my head and go back to them, enjoy them.  I kind of want to forget those two weeks prior to close.  It makes me despise the banking industry.  It’s just that great.

So we are in our house.  Buying, unpacking, adjusting.  Love the house and location, it is now the times you realize what all needs to really be fixed.  Sad face.  But it truly is beautiful. And ours.. sort of.  It will be in 30 years.  Reality of home buying in America.

In the last 20 days, I have joined the ranks of the employed again.  Working at Grace.  We have returned to being proud puppy parents as we had a place for him finally.  I shuttered in disbelief over Haiti and was in turn angered by narrow minded people who share my faith.  I have heard an amazing message about Greatness.  I have been reading again.  Good books, easy books, and challenging books.  We bought a washer and dryer.

So now more settle, paint, plan, dream about an amazing life changing youth ministry in Camas.

Life never slows down but you have capture moments.  It’s a good thing you don’t need a loan to have kids.  No pencil pusher will ruin that next big life commitment.  However, it is going to be a while before we recover from this one.
